Greek Week in Italy

We have just finished the Greek Week in Pescara.

.

This was our calendar of activities:

We started with a Conference of a Greek Association in our region, Abruzzo, and one of the lecturers showed us many evidences of the presence of Ancient Greeks in Abruzzo, like the statue of Hercules found near the town of Sulmona where Ovidio was born.

After that we had some activities in our institute:

we first tried to dance Greek traditional dances in our classroom:

Then some Greek young students of the University of Pescara taught us how to dance properly...

and we tried again:

and I think it was better:

really much better...

I swear to tell the truth that I tried to dance with my students,

but they told me that...

it was better that I kept on taking photographs!

I don’t know why!?!? I was dancing perfectly… like Rudolf Nureyev...

Anyway, after that experience, we saw a film about Greek Mythology: Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It was the most crowded activity:

I suggest this film if you want your students to learn about this subject. Our students had to answer to a quiz and next week we will award the winner with a book.

The day after we listened to a conference about the experience of Greek people in Pescara and some evidences of Ancient Greek in our dialect and names of some places in Abruzzo.

In this occasion we prepared and offered some Greek food we tasted in our experience in Marousi and Athens.

The last day we showed our pictures and we awarded our students who participated in this project.

and that's all, comenius people!

I have already read your report, but the link for the Spanish PPT about the Greek Week doesn't work. You should inform Cristian about it.
